Time for the results of the City-Challenge!
Hello & Bonn jour 😉
A few weeks ago I stumbled across this -> Blog and found something called the city challenge. Now, for those of you who already know about this, please keep reading. For those who don’t, it’s explained in one of my earlier posts -> here …
Anyway, it took me a while to get all the tasks done – everytime I was in town I realized that I left my camera at home and it’s kinda hard do the tasks without the camera. But eventually I managed and my results are in *using the Dermot O’Leary X-Factor voice*

We’re playing a 10 Questions and Answers game. Please join, I’d love to know more about you!
Hello my sweets,
I should probably start by explaining what I mean by “BlogParade” since I have no idea what the official English term is (so yes, I’m pretending that the German word is also used in the English language)…
Basically it’s kinda like a Link Party or maybe a Blog Hop… Sorta… So, in this case I stumbled on a blog that is currently hosting one o these blog parades.
If you happen to know the appropriate term for this “event” please leave it in the comment section, I really need to know 😀

Photography so far has always been about finding a lovely motive and pushing the release button. But times change.
I love it. I love everything about it. But one of the things I love most about photography is the fact that the pictures always show your perspective on things. It is your view. You, sometimes even subconsciously, decide what you capture.
So for me, photography is almost a form of nakedness because you can’t really hide anything once you’ve taken the photo (deleting doesn’t count!)…
Even if you decide to photoshop it to the world’s end and back, it is still your work and your heart and soul that you put into the photo. And I think that’s beautiful.

Owning my parents dinner turned me and my kitchen into chaos. Whoopsie…
Before getting into the the cooking part maybe I should explain why I owed my parents dinner in the first place.
So, long story short:
I was driving to Holland. I felt tired. Stopped at a truck stop. Closed my eyes for 3 seconds. Woke up 3 hours later. Car wouldn’t turn on. Nobody was around. Had to call professional help. Paid 250,- Euros for a 3 minute repair.
Now my loving father offered to pay for my stupidity (yes, you guessed correctly – I left the lights on) but as a form of repayment he wanted me to invite him & Mum (and my sister since she lives with my parents at the moment) over for dinner into a perfectly tidy flat.
Couldn’t get a better deal than that so I accepted and that’s how my first food-related blog post came into existence.

Something doesn’t have to be big and huge to be wonderful and special…
It’s been a few days but it’s nice to be back . I spent a couple of days in England with some of my favorite people and was sleeping the final bit of my cold off.
Yes, I am now completely un-cold. The cough is gone, no runny nose and no sore throat. The relief is unreal!
Anyway, today I want to talk about simplicity in life. Because very often we expect great things, want cool stuff, have fantastic stories to tell and we are on a never ending search of this greatness.
